Weekend Walks

Last weekend I took Aubrey for a "hike," which was really a glorified walk on a dirt path with inclines and declines where a stroller won't fit so she was in the hiking backpack. We were joined by Flo and Butters. Aubrey loves puppies and especially enjoyed hiking with Butters, who dutifully herded us along. Aubrey said "ooff, ooff," and laughed whenever she saw Butters and remembered he was there. It was a great hike until she fell asleep halfway through; her head kept bonking my head and then she was resting her head against the nape of my neck, forcing me to walk like a turtle the rest of the way. No more hiking without daddy there to carry the backpack!

Sunday, Aubrey and I met up with Nona, Auntie Megan, and Georgia to walk Sawyers Camp Trail. We walked 5 miles, but it took over 2 hours due to hunger, thirst, tossing items out of strollers, and a "walk around" break at the halfway point where we let the girls pick up sticks, crunch oak leaves, and play before turning around. Here are a few photos from the break. Sawyer Camp Trail is my newest favorite weekend walk (thanks for showing me the Millbrae entrance, Jen family!).
