splish splash, she was taking a bath . . .

Aubrey recently started bathing sans newborn sling.  Although she can't quite sit up on her own yet, she loves to practice, even while in the bath.  The other night, she seemed to connect thrashing her arms and legs with the splashing that occurred.  Of course, she got camera shy and didn't give us much of a show once we tried to capture it on video, but we still got a little bit to share.  Looks like the days of relaxing bathtime may soon be over . . .

the many faces of aubrey

Maybe it's us, but we're constantly amazed at all the faces Aubrey makes - inquisitive, expectant, surprised, happy, alarmed . . . she has many facial expressions, and all of them crack us up.  Here are a few snapshots taken during tummy time a few days ago, as an example:
